watery See "thin".
woodiness The odour and flavour of wood in a wine, usually resulting from storing the wine in a wooden cask or treating the wine with oak or oak extract. Its presence may be regarded as a benefit or a defect, depending on the type and intensity of the woody flavour and the type of wine.
wort The aqueous solution of sugars, dextrins, and flavourings etc. prepared for fermentation into beer.
